We reached our destination , Glacier National Park. The adventure started with a wonderful send off from Summit. We feel loved and will miss you all but know that we travel with you.
Denver is now home. We are thrilled to be near our kids and we have a grandson on the way in Sept. How lucky for us to share these life changing events. We now own a duplex in Cherry Creek area and will have extra beds for visitors. We close on July 1st and will move in The beginning of Sept. Come and visit anytime.
Our exit from Denver was a trip to the bank for a mortgage, loading, provisioning which included Wally buying so much frozen fish it could barely fit in the freezer, and hooking up the airstream for travel north. The rig hauled smoothly as I followed in my car. I was the sweeper making sure no bikes popped off the back.
First stop The Little Big Horn National Monument. George Bush changed the name from Custer's Last Stand to The Little Big Horn in 1990's. It showed how we still did not get what we did to the American Indian. The monument to the Indians is impressive and moving.
After two and a half days of 10 hour drives we arrived at the KOA campground in West Glacier, MT. Our campsite for most of the summer is the nicest one here, private, quiet, and comfortable. We are so thankful for sunny days and warm weather. After last years bout of rain and snow we appreciate the value of great weather. Evening fires have been perfect endings to the day.
Training for our volunteer jobs started the day after we arrived. Busy learning what to do and getting indoctrinated into the system. Got loads of outfits to wear, hats, jackets, shirts, and bandannas. Pictures will be attached as we start our shifts.
Miss you all and will keep you updated now that we figured out the internet. Happy Memorial Day. Starting fresh on figuring out how to publish pictures. Working on that. Sorry. Pictures coming.
